Scared Stiff: Fear of Intractable Pain with Stiff-Person Syndrome

Learning Outcomes:

1. As a result of this activity, learners will be able to define Stiff-Person Syndrome and explore the causes of the syndrome.
2. Discuss an overview of the signs and symptoms of SPS and possible nursing interventions to provide to individuals with SPS.
3. Review the appropriate diagnostic workup for SPS and consider symptom management of the syndrome and different treatment options of SPS.
